Tip #1: Play area for the kids
Within walking distance (500 m) from the chalet you can go to the playground of our village Harre (next to the village school). But there are many child-friendly facilities on the domain of holiday home Sol Croupet itself: Large garden for all kinds of games (ball games, kubb, football...) the "Indianenbos" with bear hut the "Kidsranch" with tree trunk labyrinths the Farwest with playhouses a "Western lounge"
Tip #2: Swimming in Durbuy
A splash with the kids during your stay? Your offspring can let off steam in the large municipal swimming pool of Bohon (Durbuy)! What you need to know? Tip #3: Tourist train in Erezee
Authentic Ardennes tram line that departs from Erezee and runs to Manhay (Lamorménil). Get on one of the antique trams, some of which are more than a century old, and let yourself be driven through the unspoilt Ardennes nature. The ride takes about 50 minutes. What you need to know? Tip #4: Chlorophyll Park
The park is a recreational forest located in the municipality of Dochamps (Manhay) a few kilometers from Baraque Fraiture and was built on the remains of an old safari park in an immense forest of 9 hectares. One of the main attractions of the park is the walkway that you can walk to the tops of the trees. Here the kids can really let off steam in the themed wooden playground. What you need to know? Tip #5: Caves of Hotton
Be amazed by our geological heritage during the cave visit! The cave tour in Hotton is 6km long and takes you 70m underground. Your underground adventure is accompanied by a guide in Dutch and lasts approximately 1 hour. What you need to know? Tip #6: Water fun at the Aisne or Ourthe
In the summer you can enjoy paddling and swimming along the banks of the rivers Ourthe and Aisne. Actually, your own outdoor swimming pool in the middle of nature! The Aisne is a tributary of the Ourthe with a length of 31 kilometers. The river rises near Odeigne in the commune of Manhay (our pilot commune), close to the Baraque de Fraiture and passes through the commune of Erezée with the villages of Amonines, Blier, Erezée, and Fanzel on its banks and then comes via the rock of Roche-à- Frêne in the municipality of Durbuy with the villages of Aisne, Ozo and Juzaine on the banks to eventually flow into the Ourthe in Bomal. Recommendations: Park your car at Bomal station, follow the footpath along the Ourthe that runs via Barvaux to Durbuy and let the children play in the water.
